Vial of Toxoid Vaccine as an Injectable Liquid Suspension

Vaccine Composition:

This vaccine consists of inactivated toxin (toxoid) of anaerobic bacteria Clostridium perfringens types A, B، C, D, Clostridium tetani, Clostridium novyi type B, Clostridium septicum with formalin (as an inactivator) and alum adjuvant.

Each dose (2.5 ml) contains:
Toxoid beta of Clostridium perfringens type  B, C and D……………… ≥10 IU*

Toxoid epsilon of Clostridium perfringens type B, C and D ……..……..≥ 5 IU

Toxoid alpha of Clostridium perfringens type A, B, C and D ………..≥ 1 IU

Toxoid alpha of Clostridium novyi type B………………………..…..…….. ≥ 3,5 IU

Toxoid alpha of Clostridium septicum ……………………………..…………≥ 2,5 IU

Toxoid tetanolysin of Clostridium tetani ………………………..……………≥ 2,5 IU

Recommended clinical use:

SalimVac-7 vaccine is inactivated toxin’s suspension isolated anaerobic bacteria Clostridium perfringens type A, B, C, D, Clostridium novyi type B, Clostridium septicum, Clostridium tetani which parental demonstration produces high grade immunity in sheep & goats, during field outbreak challenge of the mentioned organism. Heptavalent Clostridial toxoid vaccine (SalimVac-7) is used to prevent (hyperphagia), lamb dysentery, ostracism, brachycephaly, malignant auricle, gangrene hepatitis, and tetanus.

Properties:

This vaccine is the result of toxins and extracellular antigens prepared with a suitable formulation with adjuvant. This vaccine formulation can induce high levels of specific antibodies as well as high amounts of antitoxins in vaccinated animals. Therefore, Salim vaccine can be a suitable product to control various types of diseases related to Clostridia contained in this vaccine that affect animals under certain conditions

Administration:

• By subcutaneous injection.
• It is advisable to administer the vaccine at a temperature between +2 and +8 °c.
• Shake before and during administration.

Dosage:

• Sheep and goats: 2.5ml/animal and for young animal it can be 1.5ml/animal.

Vaccination program suggestion:

• First vaccination before seasonal changes and food ration and revaccination to ensure the safety of the animal in a period of 15 – 20 days after the first injection.
• Annual vaccine. In the areas where pulpy kidney disease is prevalent, the vaccination should be injected every 6 months (spring and autumn).
• Lambs and kids can be vaccinated a few days after birth.

Precautions:

• All healthy animals in the herd should be vaccinated at the same time.
• In order to maintain uniformity, shake the bottle containing the vaccine gently before and during use.
• Keep away from sun light and out of the reach of children.
• The entire contents of the vaccine vial must be administered at the same time.
• Avoid using the vaccine after its expiration date.
• Avoid using excess vaccine dose without a veterinarian’s prescription.
• Leftover vaccine, empty vials, and equipment used for vaccinating should be autoclaved, disinfected, or incinerated.
• Avoid slaughtering livestock for three weeks after vaccination.

Drug interactions:

• Avoid taking drugs that weaken the immune system at the same time as vaccination.

Storage:

• Avoid mixing the vaccine with any medication or substance.
• Store at 2-8°C away from light and avoid freezing.

Packing:

A 100 ml vaccine vial contains 40 doses of vaccine.

Shake the vaccine vial before and during use.
